The American Founding

This course is an intensive study of the Constitutional Convention, the struggle over ratification of the Constitution, and the creation of the Bill of Rights. It will include a close examination of the Federalist Papers and the Antifederalist papers.

Instructors: Ronald J. Pestritto is Charles and Lucia Shipley Chair in American Constitution and Associate Professor of Political Science at Hillsdale College. He is author of Woodrow Wilson and the Roots of Modern Liberalism. Kevin Portteus is Assistant Professor of Political Science at Hillsdale College.
